It’s a staple on the Adelaide Culinary scene and for good reason with Madame Hanoi serving up some of the best cuisines this side of the Torrens and now, the French-Vietnamese eatery is inviting you on a culinary journey through the streets of Hanoi with its inaugural Seafood Street Festival.
Kicking off today, Head Chef Raj Kumar will take diners straight to Vietnam’s capital with his specially curated, mouth-watering menu that is filled with colourful dishes that explore the unmistakable energy of street food.
Growing up with a love of seafood, Raj has an embedded passion for the cuisine. “My cooking has always been influenced by my early life, which is when my interest in Vietnamese food was sparked – particularly their street food which heavily relies on seafood. My personal favourites are the scallops and garfish,” he says.
Available from Tuesday to Saturday, this special menu will sit alongside Madame Hanoi’s regular menu for the duration of the month-long festival, where bold flavours are to be expected and social dining is encouraged.
Each night, expect a range of 13 succulent, seafood dishes including Hervey Bay Grilled Scallops, Crispy White Bait, Smokey Garfish, Octopus Salad and Whole Steamed Coral Trout. Thursday nights will see $5 skewers available from 5pm – 7pm but mid-week is the main draw card for all you seafood lovers.
Every Wednesday, indulge in Madame Hanoi’s exceptional Seafood Tower filled to the brim with a delicious selection of seafood, from signature scallops through to Seafood Street Festival specials such as baked Alaskan crab. For just $65 per person, this eye-catching tower will impress both your taste buds and your Instagram followers.
Last month, Madame Hanoi was awarded the winner of the ‘Best Asian Restaurant’ category at the 2022 SA Restaurant & Catering HOSTPLUS Awards for Excellence. The Awards for Excellence is a nationally recognised, independently judged awards program that celebrates exceptional service and culinary talent across the state.
