Adelaide’s favourite bao bar is making its long awaited return. Through March and April, you can grab your Bao fix every Thursday from 5-7pm util April 21st.
The Award winning Bao bar and bistro infuses French and Vietnamese cuisine to bring delicious Bao treats to South Australia.
Special new flavours will be bought to the city with Head Chef Raj and the Bao Bar team, whipping up a limited edition menu.
Baos are going for $5 per piece, or you could go ‘baolistic’ and build your own selection of yummy bao treats for only $20. If you get thirsty, cocktails are served at $12. Happy hour will be offered at 5-6pm with drinks going for cheap.
The baolistic set includes three types of meat and 4 buns packed with your favourite fillings. The bar also encourages visitors to “be game and ask for more chilli”.
Set at Adelaide’s very own SkyCity, food lovers will be able to wine and dine at one of the city’s most breath-taking and glamorous venues.
Raj Kumar is the head chef of The Bao Bar menu and has specially curated the bar’s menu, with fan favourites including Crispy Hanoi Chicken, Tempura Eggplant, Spicy Tofu, Lemongrass Pork Ribs and the sweet treat – Miso Custard.
Raj’s love for cooking stems from his father, who was a popular chef at the luxurious Shangri-La Hotel in Fiji.
Raj has spent years refining and sharpening his skills in the kitchen, bringing his talents to kitchens across the world. He has experimented with international cuisines working in kitchens worldwide.
The head chef has now discovered a new exciting niche, with the aim of bringing French influence through Vietnamese cuisine with Madame Hanoi.
The brave and bold new cuisine brings electrifying flavours that are reinventing how we approach Vietnamese cuisine.
Make sure to grab a Bao at Madame Hanoi’s Bao Bar every Thursday 5-7pm. Finishes on the 21st April 2022.
