Maggie Beer To Release Fruit Paste Range In The USA

Maggie BeerLeading gourmet food company Maggie Beer has signed with Australian Export Company Aussie Inc. to expand their operations into the challenging yet lucrative US market.

Aussie Inc. will take Maggie Beer’s fruit paste range to the USA in October for meetings with key grocery buyers and retailers including Wholefoods, Dean & Deluca and Bristol Farms. The six flavour range includes quince, plum, cabernet, spiced pear, fig & fennel and Apple & rosemary. Aussie Inc. aims to have Maggie Beer’s range in stores in 2011.

Maggie Beer said “We have wanted to expand our business in the USA for some time, but it was a matter of timing and resources to make it work. Todd and Aussie Inc. have expertise in the US retail market and we are looking forward to developing the product for the USA and launch in 2011.”

Aussie Inc. Chief Executive Todd Miller said “I am very excited to be working with Maggie Beer and her team. They have high quality products and a strong brand in Australia. We will be working hard to replicate Maggie’s Australian success in the USA.”

The comapany will work with the Maggie Beer team to make the product ‘US Centric’ for consumers, plus use its relationships with US retailers to drive the consumers to the product. “There are several gourmet food chains in the USA that Maggie Beer will have a great fit with.” said Todd.

Started in April 2009, Aussie Inc. has a direct to retail infrastructure on the ground in the USA, with direct relationships with the likes of Sears, Kmart (USA), C&S Wholesale Grocers, BJ’s Wholesale Club, QVC, AAFES and The Sportsman’s Guide. Aussie Inc. has offices in Australia and Los Angeles.

The company has a growing client and product base in pet, grocery, food and wine categories.
