A long standing motel now known as The Hahndorf Lodge has been rescued after its future became unclear midway through the year.
Previously known as the Hahndorf Motor Lodge and The Lodge, the motel went into administration midway through 2025. The accomodation remained open aside from pool facilities while the search for a new owner began.
While in administration it was generally recognised that the space had plenty of potential and a prime Hahndorf Location to match. That was obviously the opinion of M&G Hotel Group, as they took over management late last month.
In a social media post the hotel said, “Excited to be upgrading the property in coming weeks, including brand new king beds and 65″ TVs, and much more work in the pipeline.”
“We are looking forward to getting involved with the local community and have no doubt we can bring this property back to its best!” The post continued.
While it’s still early in the new management journey, the pool has already reopened and king beds are being added to the refurbished rooms as we speak. We can’t wait to see what’s next for the all new Hahndorf Lodge.
