Qantas, Virgin and Jetstar have all launched epic national and international airfare deals for their Boxing Day sales.

Australia’s leading airlines have kicked off their much-anticipated Boxing Day sales, offering an array of heavily discounted fares to both domestic and international destinations. Prices are starting from a remarkably low $34.

Virgin Australia Leads with Half a Million Discounted Fares

Virgin Australia has put more than 500,000 reduced-price tickets on the market, covering a broad range of domestic and international routes. Domestic one-way fares are beginning at $49, with return international flights starting from $419.

Virgin Australia’s four-day sale features return flights to Bali from various Australian cities, starting at $449. Other noteworthy deals include return flights from Sydney to Queenstown starting at $435, and Cairns to Tokyo from $679.

Jetstar’s Budget-Friendly Offers: As Low as $34

Jetstar has launched a 48-hour sale that includes budget-friendly flights to popular destinations like Bali and Hawaii. Domestic one-way tickets start at a mere $34, with one-way international fares from $145. Sydney to Honolulu fares start from a low $249.

Jetstar is offering even more attractive prices for Club Jetstar members, with fares starting at $25. Membership can be obtained for $55 annually via the airline’s website.

Qantas Competes with Domestic Deals from $109

Not to be outdone, Qantas has also joined the fray, offering discounted fares on nearly every domestic route. Their sale includes one-way fares starting at $109.

Qantas also has the value-added aspect of its fares, which include checked baggage, complimentary food and beverages, free Wi-Fi, and seat selection. Their sale extends to routes like Launceston to Melbourne from $109 and Melbourne to Perth from $269.

Travel Periods and Terms

The sales span various travel periods, primarily in the second half of the next year, with Jetstar’s sale ending on Wednesday midnight (AEDT) and Virgin Australia’s sale concluding on Friday midnight (AEDT). Qantas’ sale will last for 72 hours. It is important to note that checked baggage is not included in Jetstar’s and Virgin Australia Lite fares.
