Make Your Fringe Experience Extra Magical With These Unmissable Shows

Everyone needs a little magic in their life…

The Adelaide Fringe. It is a pretty magical affair. With its atmosphere, its vibes and all the good things that come with it… Hello Garden of Unearthly Delights and Royal Croquet Club. This year there will be 1000 acts converging on Adelaide but one man, Paul Dabek, has caught our eye with his unique delivery of all things magic. So make your Fringe experience extra magical and check out these shows…

After a sold out season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Paul hits Adelaide with a brand new show crammed full of fast pace jaw-dropping magic and comedy delivered with his own unique British brand of banter. We like banter!

“Nothing up my Sleeve” is a 60 minute show at new Adelaide Fringe Venue GC (German Club) and you will experience some of Paul’s strongest and most fooling magic that he has ever presented on stage. There will be no funny boxes or trapdoors just mind-blowing magic with everyday objects.

People can expect to be entertained by a whirlwind of sleight of hand, stand-up comedy and naughty shadow puppets all delivered at break-neck speed in a show that is bound to have you both scratching your head in amazement and rolling in the aisles with laughter simultaneously.

“I thought it would be rude not to return to Adelaide after the great support and positivity I received from the locals and it’s exciting to be part of a brand new hub at the GC. Adelaide lets down it’s hair well and truly during Fringe and I couldn’t miss that for the world!”

But that isn’t all that we can expect from this magical man! Oh no, there will even be a show to keep the children entertained (well at least for the runtime of the show that is)…

The award winning children’s comedy show “The I hate children, children’s show,” which will be performed weekends at the Speakeasy, Gluttony.

This VERY different children’s show is for the whole family and children are actually the stars of the show. Every child over the age of 8 years old is invited on stage to help with the magic. The show is the brainchild of American producer Paul Nathan who last year passed the baton onto Paul Dabek who debuted the show at last year’s Adelaide Fringe.

Paul Dabek is just one of the stars of this show, “children are the natural-born enemy of the magician and nowhere is this more evident than during this 50 minute magical marathon.”

Paul promises this children’s show will stand out from the other sugary sweet children’s shows on offer. There are no princesses and/or fairies at this show.

“I’m not the one who has to deal with high-pitched screaming and crying if those other shows suck,” joked Paul Dabek.

Bring on the magic!!
