Make your own macarons in this one-off masterclass

Sucre Patisserie is hosting a one-off masterclass on making macarons.

The fine art of the macaron is a difficult one to master solo, which is why Sucre Patisserie are opening their doors to the public on 6 April to have a hands on experience in the kitchen.

With the help of industry professionals, guests will learn the tips and tricks of the macaron trade in the most reliable method there is – Italian.

Sucre Patisserie owner Keva Freeman will be your kitchen guide and demonstrate from start to finish how to perfect the delicate, almond-based French specialty with the opportunity to jump in throughout the class.

Classes will see a maximum of four attendees allowing for an up close and personal experience with one-on-one coaching from Keva and guests can expect to learn how to:

  • Make macaron shells
  • Fill shells with ganache and buttercream (yum!)
  • Troubleshoot kitchen mishaps
  • Use your home oven to repeat the process

Running for roughly three hours, tickets are $185.00 and everyone will walk out with a macaron recipe – fillings included – and a pack of the delicious desserts valued at $50.00.
