Man Month comes just in time for Father’s Day, Sunday 7th September, but according to the Republic Venue Manager Nathan Lawrence, one day is not enough.
“Rather than celebrating men and fathers on just Father’s Day, we have decided to dedicate the month of September to men,” says Mr Lawrence.
‘Steaks of Australia,’ a four-fillet steak tasting plate with a choice of sauces, is a feature on the menu this September, as well as the Cape Byron Angus.
“For 25 years the McDonald family have hand-selected the absolute best Black Angus to graze on the Kikuyu grass and laze under the shade of some of the region’s most spectacular fig trees,” Mr Lawrence said.
Also on the menu is the Southern Grande Beef; a lean and juicy cut of meat that bursts with flavour, which is the perfect combination of taste and tenderness.
For those who can’t go past onion rings, they can be enjoyed with an American style T-bone steak, served with port and red wine jus and watercress salad.
“Here at the Republic, we know that men like to get their hands dirty, which is why we have added grilled BBQ baby back ribs to the menu,” Mr Lawrence said. “We have a feeling these will be a popular choice on Father’s Day!”
As always, guests can look forward to the Pork, Cork & Fork special every Wednesday night at the Republic, as well as the Beer of Origin; The Republic’s four signature beers, and the daily charcoal rotisserie.
With giant TV screens, an award winning outdoor section, and vibrant ambience, the Republic is the perfect destination to watch the AFL Finals series with friends and family this September.
“Man Month is all about getting people together and having a good time,” Mr Lawrence said.
