Glenelg’s Marina Pier has once again become a beacon of enchantment as the beloved ‘Umbrella Lights’ installation returns for another winter season, captivating visitors along the coast.
The picturesque setting invites locals and tourists alike to indulge in an evening of delectable cuisine and delightful beverages, surrounded by the mesmerising display that first graced the pier in 2021.
“We wanted to commemorate the cooler months with something enjoyable and accessible to everyone,” explains JLL Director of Marketing Anna-Louise.
“The overwhelming response in the past two years motivated us to expand the display before bringing it back,” she says.
What started with seven umbrella-shaped light displays along the pier walkway has now blossomed into a doubled count of 14 for the year 2023.
Each individual umbrella features cool white lighting for the frame, adorned with glowing blue lights that add a touch of vibrant colour to the collective installation.
Against the backdrop of cloudless sunsets, with rich hues on clear winter days, the ‘Umbrella Lights’ create the perfect ambiance for visitors to relish the tranquility of Marina Pier during this quieter time of year.
The cooler season provides an opportunity to embrace the quieter side of Glenelg, where visitors can enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the coast without the crowds.
