After enduring a long, cold, and rainy winter, it’s with great pleasure we can announce the Marion Outdoor Pool has officially reopened for the summer season!
And more than that, the waterslides are now completely free each and every Sunday! Open from 8am – 6pm on Sunday, the splash park is the perfect way to spend a sunny weekend afternoon.
The two waterslides were added as part of the $4.5M upgrade to the Marion Outdoor Pool completed in 2020. A journey down the ‘Twist Slide’ begins by shooting through an enclosed tunnel for 15m before popping out of the kaleidoscope of colour into a downward spiral that sends you zooming into the pool below.
The ‘Speed Slide’ is fast and furious. A 10m drop will start your ride, surging you to the bottom with an almighty splash and will have you running back to the start again and again.
The slides are open to anyone over 120cm tall however those who don’t quite reach the height requirements are able to tandem ride with an adult on the Twist Slide.
After undergoing a $4.5M upgrade in 2020, the 46-year-old facility now boasts one of the best waterparks in Adelaides with the renovations seeing the addition of a 9m tower with four waterslides, a giant tipping bucket and a 59sqm play area with water jets.
The kiosk and change rooms were also upgraded with additional shade areas to ensure guests can comfortably set up and spend the whole day by the water without having to worry about sun exposure.
Pricing for the waterslides outside of the free hours on Sunday is $24pp with City of Marion residents eligible for a 30% discount.
