Even if you consider yourself a huge burger fan, you might not be able to eat all of this huge burger!
Bella Mia Espresso Bar is hosting a burger competition on Saturday, June 5 starting at 2pm that’s perfect for anyone whose eyes are too big for their stomach.
Participants are challenged to finish a double decker burger with egg, lettuce, bacon, onion, and cheese, as well as four mozzarella sticks as quickly as they can. It’s $20 to enter (basically the payment for the food), and whoever finishes the burger, named Paul’s burger after the owner, and cheesy sides first gets the food for free as well as $100.
If you’re interested in joining in on the competitive fun, you better hurry! The Two Wells location is only accepting 12 contestants, and slots for their first competition in January filled up quickly.
In the last competition, the winner finished eating in just 6 minutes and 51 seconds!
The competition was ideated after Bella Mia Espresso Bar, which is also known for breakfast foods and milkshakes, noticed nobody could finish their popular, stacked signature burger. The mammoth size of the meal was inspired by the owner’s cooking tendencies.
“My burger was inspired by the burgers I make at home because I always make everything oversized,” Paul says.
“When we make the patties, mine and my son’s are always three times bigger than anybody else’s.”
If you’re up for trying the huge, house-made burger and think you could eat it faster than your competitors, Bella Mia Espresso Bar has just one piece of advice:
“If you enter, make sure you don’t eat breakfast!”
