Perfect to warm you in the winter, there are now butterscotch beers on offer in the CBD at a venue just as magical as the special.
The Sorcerer’s Bar is offering the massive drinks, which come in huge glasses, for just $15 every Thursday all winter long.
This special suits the venue well, as the tiny bar is wizard-themed, complete with cauldron cocktails and a Harry Potter-inspired fit out. Created by siblings Than and Tira Rattanakosit, whose parents own neighbouring eatery Rue de Siam, The Sorcerer’s Bar serves up more than just butter beer (and butter beer shots!) They offer “Half Blood Sangria” served in a king’s cup, a “Polly Juice Potion,” served in a cauldron complete with dry ice, and snacks such as butter beer popcorn, bulgogi beef jerky, shitake mushroom chips and wasabi peas.
Tira says the inspiration from the bar comes from her own loves of the genre.
“I like Harry Potter and I like Sabrina, and I like fantasy fiction, so we figured ‘why not do a wizardry bar?’” she says.
Tira and Tan believe it’s Adelaide’s smallest bar, with only room for 15 people inside, plus space for another 9 or 10 outside.
