The former Holden factory in Elizabeth is gearing up for an exciting transformation.
Recent plans submitted to Playford Council have revealed that the site, now part of the Lionsgate Business Park, is set to host a new indoor trampoline park by Flip Out and a record-breaking gym by Derrimut 24:7.
The new Elizabeth location of popular trampoline park brand Flip Out will take over 2,946 square meters of the old Holden factory, offering various activities such as trampoline arenas, foam pits, parkour courses, and climbing walls.
This move comes after the closure of their Munno Para Shopping Centre franchise in 2022 and is expected to be a significant draw for families and fitness enthusiasts in the area.
The new Derrimut 24:7 Gym in Elizabeth is set to become the largest gym in the Southern Hemisphere.
Occupying a vast 6,788 square meters, the gym will surpass the size of Derrimut’s Caroline Springs location in Victoria. The facility plans to offer a wide range of features, including a basketball court, reformer pilates, plunge pools, saunas, and a dedicated training area for women.
National Brand Manager Andre Pereira in 2023 said that the new location will be an excellent addition to the Derrimut 24:7 brand in South Australia.
“I am excited to see this location enhance the fitness experience for our members in South Australia”.
A notable aspect of the redevelopment is the inclusion of 465 car parking spaces, with 10 of these reserved for disabled access, reflecting a commitment to accessibility and convenience for visitors.
The introduction of Flip Out and Derrimut 24:7 Gym to the old Holden factory is expected to be a significant boon for Elizabeth’s economy and community.
