Kangaroo Island is the ultimate eco-destination, where idyllic remote getaways and beautiful coastline views are plentiful, and the newest experience coming to the island on 31 July is Fire and Ferment, presented by Oceanview Eco Villas.
Hosted by Masterchef star and fermentation expert Mandy Hall, alongside Kangaroo Island chefs Dylan and Yolandi Pitallo, the event is priced at just $99, with four courses for the ultimate luxury island experience.
The event will feature the best of local produce and South Australian wines, accompanied by live music from Rhys Conventry and Oceanview Eco Villas signature service.
A master of fermentation cooking, Mandy Hall will be demonstrating a miso masterclass to all guests in attendance, where you can sit back and absorb her rich talent and wealth of knowledge in the kitchen.
In an open kitchen, live demonstration experience, you will be able to witness the talented chefs plate up your food, fireside, in a stunning location with a licensed bar on premises to wash it all down.
Guests can expect to devour luxury locally sourced Kangaroo Island scallops cooked in miso butter over coals, entirely made on premise, as well as whole pumpkin and so much more.
While Mandy told us she didn’t want to give away too much about the luxurious island menu, she did give us a clue in on some other delicious dishes you can expect.
“We’re going to do Kangaroo Island chickens in butter milk, cooked over the coals. We’re also going to do the equivalent to a very very high end s’more using Kangaroo Island produce,” says Mandy.
Fire and Ferment is the perfect excuse to stay on Kangaroo Island, explore the beautiful destination, or simply kick back and take in the fresh sea breeze at some ocean side accomodation like Oceanview Eco Villas.
