Masterchef season 11 star Mandy Hall is being hosted at King William Road’s Plant B Life next month for a fermentation workshop to cook Kimchi pancakes and tofu dumplings.

If the fascinating world of food fermentation has ever captured your imagination, you’re in luck! As a one-night-only fermentation workshop coming to one of Adelaide’s most-loved foodie spots, Plant B Life, who regularly host their epic foodie workshops with culinary experts for a night of incredible food, relaxed demonstrations and great laughs.

The evening will be held on 3 September in Plant B Life’s King William Road location, with the venue’s interior set out in informal long bench tables perfect for the workshop event style, with plenty of room for 25 eager foodies to attend.

Adelaide’s own Masterchef star and fermenting queen, Mandy Hall will be leading the evening with Plant B Life founder Kate Abraham, creating Kimchi pancakes and mouth-watering tofu dumplings, using her fermenting expertise to leave guests with a wealth of fermenting facts and tips to put into action at home.

As well a fully-satisfied stomach full of all the evening’s tasty dishes, guests will be provided with exclusive access to Mandy’s pancake and dumpling recipes to recreate for family and friends at home, with Mandy on hand to answer any burning questions about fermenting and food throughout the evening.

Marking Plant B Life’s first fermentation-focused event, drinks will also be available for purchase throughout the night including organic vegan wines and botanical gin and tonics to keep guests refreshed between bites.

Qualified yoga instructor Mandy, who hails from Goolwa, appeared on season 11 of Australia’s toughest cooking competition, Masterchef, where she served up incredible savoury dishes that utilised her fermentation skills and knowledge.
