Masterchef’s Callum Launches Macarons Tonight

CallumMasterchef runner-up and local boy Callum Hann will be launching his own range of hand-made Macarons at the Adelaide Central Market tonight from 7pm-8:30pm.

The delicious range of sweet treats will be sold exclusively at Providore and Callum is estatic to be launching his first line of products at such an iconic Adelaide venue.

“I can’t think of a better place than the market to launch my macarons. I’m surrounded by gourmets who really know their stuff so I’m looking forward to finding out what they think of my experiments with peanut butter and beetroot” said Callum.

Macarons (not to be confused with coconut and meringue macaroons) are smooth biscuits of Parisian origin made of almonds and egg white, sandwiched with ganache.

Each box of macarons contains four or eight treats in four flavours: chocolate, pistachio peanut butter and beetroot, with a layer of soft butter cream.

Callum’s violet macarons with raspberries impressed the judges on Masterchef and he hopes that this new range will recieve the same adulation from the public.

“I’ve experimented with violet flavour for the show, but now I’m trying out beetroot, and I promise it’s good!” said Callum.

With the packaging for the macarons desgined by local company Black Squid Design, the product is uniquely South Australian.

Callum will be selling his rainbow-coloured treats at Providore tonight from 7pm.
