Matilda Bay Brewer’s Bite hits Adelaide Central Market

Matilda Bay Brewing Co, the Aussie leader in craft brewing, is heading to the Adelaide Central Market with their Brewer’s Bite beer and food matching program.

On Saturday 29 October and Saturday 26 November, Matilda Bay will share their knowledge and expertise with market-goers on matching a selection of fine Matilda Bay brews to some delicious local produce.

Early bird market goers will receive free (yes free!) tastings of fresh, local produce in the form of tasty bites matched to a range of Matilda Bay’s best craft beers including the popular North American style pale ale, Fat Yak,  the Munich Oktoberfest-style lager Big Helga, and the quirky honey wheat brew, Beez Neez.

Head brewer at Matilda Bay, Scott Vincent said of the Matilda Bay Brewers Bite program, “Matching beer with food is simply awesome, and we want to get more people on board! People are often surprised about just how amazing a beer is matched to their favourite foods – we like to think we can put wine to shame.Brewers Bite inspires everyone to play around with different flavours and find their perfect match. This is what us brewers have been raving on about for a long time!”

Matilda Bay will help market-goers learn about the three Cs of beer and food matching – complement, contrast and cleanse, all important when deciding what beer to match with a particular recipe. With Matilda Bay well-known for re-interpreting and experimenting with the great beer styles of the world, the range is perfect for beer and food matching with so many different styles and flavours that can be paired with a wide range of meals both sweet and savoury. Try a Fat Yak with a Chorizo, roasted pepper & goats cheese pizzetta, a Big Helga with a pork, seeded mustard & cabbage mini pie, or a Beez Neez with some honey-mustard glazed chicken wings. Mmmmm…
