According to the rather impressive Matt Preston, Adelaide is in the middle of a “pizza and pasta renaissance.”
The ex-Masterchef host and famed, cravat-wearing food critic recently visited Adelaide for CheeseFest+Ferment, during which he held a variety of cheese-inspired demonstration.
Preston is a self-professed fan of Adelaide’s foodie scene, and has recently made an Instagram post of some of his choice eating spots in our lovely city.
Highlighting restaurants Etica and Madre, Preston stated that both are doing “a very fine job indeed.”
Whilst the post focussed primarily on pizza, Preston also made a point of commenting on the rum babas at both restaurants. According to the critic, Madre’s are “stunning and ‘mazingly light”, whilst Etica’s are “served with the rum bottle for sluicing and baked darker.”
