Eat a six course Australian inspired dinner, drink plenty of lovely wine and help the people and animals on Kangaroo Island doing it.
On Saturday January 25 McLaren Vale winery Maxwell Wines will be hosting a bushfire charity dinner hoping to raise $15,000.
There is nothing more Australian than helping out your mates and our mates over at Kangaroo Island need our help.
“KI is very special to us. The vineyard that has provided us our Kangaroo Island Shiraz has been destroyed by the fire and our connection to the island runs deeper from relationships with mead producers, restaurant owners and to some of our staff who previously worked at the Southern Ocean Lodge”, says Jeremy Maxwell.
The six-course menu promises to put a twist on some Australian classics, featuring Pie ‘n’ Sauce, shrimp on a barbie, Bunnings Snag, Beef / Onion / Bundy Rum, Chicken Parmi, Jumbuck in a Tucker Bag, Vegemite on Toast and loads of other interesting renditions.
Knowing the spectacular quality that comes from Maxwell Wines’ kitchens, the above will be a unique and no doubt delicious dinner.
All proceeds from the bushfire charity dinner goes to the St Vincent de Paul Society, who passes 100% of donations on to affected locals and to South Australian Veterinary Emergency Management, an organisation who assists affected animals in SA.
At the charity dinner Maxwell will also be auctioning products and packages from affected businesses giving you an opportunity to directly help individual businesses get back up and running.
