Mayfair Hotel is sending off 2021 with two magical festivities that beg you to party.
The hotel will be bursting with splendour from top to bottom as it welcomes in the new year.
Kicking off firstly will be the Gatsby Glam event which welcomes guests to enjoy a luxurious six-course degustation in underground New York-inspired style.
The degustation will be prepared by Mayfair’s internationally acclaimed Executive Chef, Erwin Joven, at the signature Mayflower restaurant.
Guests are encouraged to get into the spirit of the evening and channel their inner Jay Gatsby, Daisy Buchanan, or Nick Carraway by dressing to impress.
They will be welcomed to toast the year that was with a glass of Mumm Grand Condon Champagne before enjoying a delightful feast.
Guests can expect the menu to include dishes like South Australian Yellowfin Tuna Escabeche with cauliflower puree, crispy capers and herbs, as well as roasted rack of lamb stuffed with foie gras, charred shallot, and truffle-infused lamb jus.
There will also be baked Onkaparinga Triple Cream Brie in crispy filo pastry, white peach chutney and roasted pistachio.
Each course will be expertly matched with South Australian wines including 2021 Mesh Eden Valley Riesling, 2021 Dandelion Vineyards ‘Fairy-tale of the Barossa’ Rose, 2020 Ashton Hills Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay, 2018 Longview ‘Epitome’ Late Harvest Riesling and 2016 Henschke ‘Johann’s Garden’ GSM.
The dinner is $329pp, starting from 8pm and will include live music, a countdown to New Year’s Eve and an invitation to the Hennessy Rooftop Bar to continue celebrations into the night.
For those who want to start and end the night at the rooftop, there will be a Black & White Masquerade party held at Hennessy bar.
Guests will be welcomed to the rooftop from 8pm for a decadent evening of glamour and sparkle.
While overlooking the vibing city on NYE, guests will cheers the year that was with premium regional wines, Hennessy spirit selections, and international and domestic draught beer as the night continues and the sun sets.
Dance the night away with leading Adelaide DJ’s Kai & DH Ash, and delight in dazzling glamour of live cabaret and Lyra la Belle burlesque performances throughout the evening.
Then, count in the New Year and celebrate the start of 2022 under the backdrop of the city’s fabulous fireworks.
