Tickets go on sale this Friday for four ground-breaking public dinners as part of this year’s McLaren Vale Wine show, while the region’s winemakers are gearing up for a series of events to celebrate International Grenache Day next weekend.
McLaren Vale Grape Wine and Tourism Consultant CEO Marc Allgrove said it’s an exciting period with plenty of opportunities to get to know the wines, food, people and culture of the McLaren Vale region.
“We’re about to release tickets to the wine show dinners which are quite unlike anything seen in the Australian regional wine show circuit before,” Marc said.
“These events offer the chance to dine with some of the country’s most renowned judges and commentators, with world class wines and specially designed dishes in McLaren Vale’s most outstanding restaurants.
“International Grenache Day will be celebrated on Friday September 19 with events in McLaren Vale and in Adelaide’s Chinatown, followed by the traditional McLaren Vale vs Barossa ‘Grenache Cup’ at Edinburgh Cellars on the Saturday.
“Then, on October 19, McLaren Vale’s ‘Vale Cru’ small batch winemakers will get together for their annual tasting event at the Victory Hotel, giving the public a chance to sample their innovative and handcrafted wines.”
