McLaren Vale Named In World’s Top 30 Emerging Destination Awards

McLaren Vale has recently been acknowledged in Travel Lemming’s Emerging Destination Awards, taking out spot number 26 in the selection of 30.

Here in South Australia, we’re well aware of the beauty McLaren Vale offers, with the region a popular destination for wine tours and luncheons alike.

McLaren Vale has recently been acknowledged in Travel Lemming’s Emerging Destination Awards, taking out spot number 26 in the selection of 30. The list is coined by the site as “30 truly incredible but unappreciated travel destinations that deserve your tourism dollars in 2020.”

Whilst it’s safe to say McLaren Vale does not go unappreciated by locals, it’s certainly nice to see the region awarded in such a listicle.

Travel Lemming suggests visiting McLaren Vale between March to May, or September to November. Top attractions named include d’Arenberg, Coriole Vineyards, Alpha Box & Dice, and Wirra Wirra Vineyards.

Travel Lemming asked governments and tourism boards to create nominations for the best trending travel destinations in their region. The nominees were then submitted for voting by a panel of travel professionals.

According to the site, the Emerging Destination Awards aim to “bring together local stakeholders, content creators, and travellers to help encourage travellers to spread out and appreciate every corner of this stunning planet.”

We’d have to agree with Travel Lemming; “the secret of McLaren Vale is officially out.”
