“It’s a true honour and nice to get such wonderful recognition from our visitors. It gives our team the confidence to keep doing what we’re doing. We’re getting ready for a busy season and we pride ourselves on giving each and every guest an amazing experience.”- Alan Varney, Co-Owner, Victor’s Place | Winemaker, Varney Wines.

Guests are promised a superb dining experience, matched with an impressive wine selection from Varney Wines, which has also been recently named “Best New Winery of the Year” in the 2021 Halliday Wine Companion Awards.

Set amongst the rolling hills of the Onkaparinga Gorge, at the Gateway to McLaren Vale, Victor’s Place offers picturesque views to compliment a relaxed charming atmosphere that can be experienced from the restored Limestone barn. It’s the perfect location for couples and small groups alike.

The menu, as curated by acclaimed Executive Chef, Chris Bone, aims to impress, revolving around a “Farm to Table” philosophy. Focusing on sustainability and sourcing the very best in fresh regional produce from local farms, dairies and seafood producers, it’s refined and well-balanced.

“Recognition by our customers and industry bodies alike keeps us motivated to continue producing and refining our offering. We will continue to stick to our ethos and let the produce decide how the menu evolves. We are thrilled our cuisine has been so well received.” – Chris Bone, Executive Chef, Victor’s Place.

Victor’s Place is certainly making its mark within the South Australian food scene, not only receiving this TripAdvisor award, but also receiving AGFG Chef’s Hats consecutively for the last two years, and making the Delicious 100 list in 2021. It’s a venue that is fast becoming popular among visitors and foodies alike.

Another perfect way to enjoy Victor’s Place, is with a Varney Wines Cellar Door wine tasting experience. Guests are guided through a wine flight of premium wines, which is accompanied by Chef Bone’s sourdough of milled locally sourced whole wheat and warm McLaren Vale olives.
