McLaren Vale vineyard Mollydooker Wines is stepping into uncharted territory with the highly anticipated launch of ‘The Vault’—an exclusive 8-week event that offers wine lovers the chance to delve into the archives of some of South Australia’s most iconic red wines.
Starting from September 8th and running through to October 27th, ‘The Vault’ will open its doors every Friday night, offering a limited-time opportunity to step back in time and go on a journey of Molly Dookers red wine vintages. Each night will spotlight one of the unique left-handed labels allowing guests to savour a guided 3-part tasting that spans the years from 2013 to the current 2021 vintage.
As an added bonus, attendees can secure a piece of history with the option to purchase a limited number of museum bottles after their tasting.
For those dedicated wine enthusiasts who want to experience the entirety of ‘The Vault’ series, Mollydooker is offering the ‘Keys to The Vault’—an exclusive pass granting priority access to each of the tasting evenings over all 8 weeks. It provides guests with the opportunity to dive into a comprehensive exploration of Mollydooker’s wine legacy.
In addition to the museum tasting experience, wine lovers also have the option to enjoy ‘The Heist’— a shared four-course cheese and wine degustation that culminates in a luxurious tasting of the Velvet Glove Shiraz, Mollydooker’s flagship wine. And for those who’d rather go on their own adventure of varietals and flavours, Mollydooker’s full wine range will be available for purchase on the night, alongside an à la carte menu of share plates.
Taking place in Mollydooker’s newly refurbished Cellar Door, the space will set the tone for an intimate evening with the warmth of the crackling fire paired with the chilled vibes of Bound DJs, who’ll be spinning vinyl records throughout the evening.

Cellar Door Manager Holly Marquis, who’s fondly referred to as The Gigglepot, is excited to be sharing Mollydooker’s history with fellow wine enthusiasts. ‘As a young winery, we have always focused on creating wines with luscious fruit flavours and soft velvety tannins, which allows you to enjoy our wines straight away. Now, 18 years on, we have been able to see how our wines age and experience how the unique flavour spectrum of our “dookers” change over time’, says Holly.
