Promising to be an evening of great food, live entertainment, and community spirit under the stars the McLaren Vale Twilight Food Affair returns to Tatachilla Lutheran College for another year of showcasing the region’s delicious food and wine.
To mark the College’s 30 years of educating students on the Fleurieu Peninsula, this year’s Twilight Food Affair is set to be one of the biggest yet, featuring live music from the college’s musical students, ensemble groups, and South Side, the College rock band.
There will also be carnival rides, sideshow fun, and a spectacular fireworks display at 9pm finish the night.
“This event is for anyone who wants to come and have a wonderful time with their family,” says Jane Clayton, Head of Marketing and PR at Tatachilla Lutheran College.

One of the main attractions of the Twilight Food Affair is its diverse range of food. From traditional Australian bush food to international cuisine from Italy, Indonesia, Mexico, Argentina, and beyond.
Try sizzling chorizo paella from Carlito’s Paella, El Guaco Taco’s Mexican delights, or the fusion flavours of Allure Fine Foods. You can also try Santopalato’s authentic Sicilian food, Ninin’s Indo Street Food, Spinning Spuds, Chimichurri Grill, Meez On Plus, La Mia Luna Pizza, Miss Dagwood Dog Adelaide, and Hot Potato Hot Potato Adelaide.
Then you can feast your sweet tooth upon a stack of freshly baked goodies from TaCHs Stroopwafels, Chocolique’s handmade Belgian chocolates, Fairy Floss Galore, artisan ice cream, or a slushy from Slush Happy.

And being held in the famous McLaren Vale wine region you can sip on some of McLaren Vale’s finest wines and local craft beers, or a enjoy a great cup of coffee or hot chocolate from Cafe2u.
Jane says that in addition to the students, families, and broader college community, the Twilight Food Affair has been “attracting crowds from Metropolitan Adelaide coming to see McLaren Vale’s wineries and people from the Adelaide Hills and up north.”
“People moving from the inner-city suburbs to the beachside suburbs of the Fleurieu also come along,” added Jane.
First held in 1997, the Twilight Food Affair takes place in term one every year on the College grounds and attracts approximately 5,000 people from across Adelaide.
“Originally called ‘Farm Day’ the event has now morphed into a major food festival”, said Jane.
As part of the College’s 30th anniversary celebrations, organisers are expecting record crowds for the Twilight Food Affair this year.
“It’s very symbolic for us, and it’s a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate three decades of teaching students on the Fleurieu Peninsula,” added Jane.

To make the most of the Twilight Food Affair, families are encouraged to arrive early to avoid queues and secure a prime spot for picnicking.
Parking is available on-site for a gold coin donation, and attendees are reminded to adhere to the college’s policies regarding alcohol and glassware. Tables and chairs will be provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own seating for added comfort.
