The school holidays are about to get a prehistoric twist at Unley Shopping Centre. For three special days this October, children will be able to meet the Adelaide Dino Rangers and their adorable baby dinosaur puppets.
The free sessions near Woolworths on Thursday 2, Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 October from 11am until 2pm.
Jenny Schier, Marketing Manager at Unley Shopping Centre, said the event is all about giving families something different to enjoy together.
“We are thrilled to offer a new and unique school holiday activity when kids can get up close with the baby dinosaur puppets,” she said.
The baby dinos a fabulous photo/video opportunity as they move, wiggle and respond to touch, making them irresistible to curious little hands.
“Touch, pat, play and hug these super friendly cuddly baby dinos,” Jenny said.
“Families are always delighted at the moving baby dino puppets and want to find out how they can play with and touch them. Children can even brush their teeth.”
Alongside the petting zoo, kids will also be able to discover a glitter bar and hair braiding station.
“The glitter bar and braids are an additional activity, especially if there may be a small wait to play with the baby dinos,” Jenny explained.
“The braids are done with the child’s real hair with lots of glitter to also add and make them super sparkly. Young boys and girls alike love to get immersed at the glitter bar.”
Making this school holiday attraction free was a clear decision.
“There is so much time to fill in the school holidays and Unley Shopping Centre are always proud to provide free events, so that every child can enjoy some unique dino fun these school holidays,” Jenny said.
She added that these experiences are part of the centre’s broader role in the community.
“The team at Unley Shopping Centre wish to enhance the shopping experience when visiting the centre to both our long term loyal customers as well and new visitors to the centre, and their whole family,” she said.
Between cuddly dinosaurs, glitter sparkles and plenty of photo moments, this school holiday event is shaping up as one families will really enjoy.
