From 6:30 pm, the world swimming champions will be at Westfield Marion for a meet and greet signing session in anticipation of competing at the 2011 Australian Short Course Championships being held at the Marion State Aquatic and Leisure Centre from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 July. Fans will have the opportunity to pose for photos with them and have memorabilia signed.
The 2011 Australian Short Course Championships will showcase some of Australia’s best swimming talents on offer, including the likes of Matt Cowdrey, Libby Tricket and Marieke Gueher.
Eamon Sullivan is not only the former world record holder in the 50m and 100m freestyle, but also the inaugural celebrity Masterchef winner.
Not only talented in the pool but also easy on the eye, both former world record holders have also previously won the national Cleo Bachelor of the Year competition: Geoff Huegill in 2003 and Eamon Sullivan in 2011.
“I’m really looking forward to coming to Adelaide and testing out the water in the new state of the art aquatic facility in Marion,” said Geoff Huegill, a Commonwealth Games gold medallist.
“Eamon and I are also really excited about meeting members of the Adelaide public whilst at Westfield Marion, and encourage swimming fans to come along to the event.”
