Married at First Sight is BACK and we can’t wait to dive back into Australia’s biggest guilty pleasure! The bold and explosive social experiment returned to our televisions on Monday 31 January, welcoming a new group of contestants on their quest for love.

Brave couples are once again facing the most daunting experience of their lives, as they meet each other for the first time at the altar. Watch as these newlyweds navigate the trials of making a successful marriage, all under the same roof and in public eye!

One girl we’re all rooting for is Adelaide-based bride, Selina Chhaur. It appears the Australian-Cambodian hairdresser (and self-proclaimed black sheep of the family) will have a hard time getting approval from her traditional parents as she tries to find true love.

“If my mum could pick me the perfect husband, he would look like Kim Jong-un and have like a multimillion-dollar company in China and I would be his fourth wife or something,” she tells producers.

Selina’s priorities are slightly different.

“I am looking for my soulmate, partner in crime, lover and bestie. Someone to grow, adventure and explore this life and earth with,” said Selina.

“I am looking for a man that is funny, loyal, understanding and a relationship where we always strive to bring out the best in each other and have so much fun that even a trip to the grocery store will be like a trip to Ibiza.”

Selina admits being a bit of a workaholic and found that when she did make time for love, Selina was always “ghosted and greeted with noncommittal men” on the dating scene.

“I believe I’m still single because dating apps and the world we live in now is filled with countless opinions, so people don’t feel like they need to settle down or try,” said Selina.

“[Dating apps] have ruined the old school ways and traditions of courtship. Gone are the days where you made an effort to get to know each other and develop a deep relationship before getting married. Nowadays it’s all about dating multiple people with no strings attached and no emotional intimacy.”

But Selina holds hope that MAFS will help her meet ‘The One’, finding reassurance that there are three exceptional experts who can guide her and her partner on how to build and maintain a healthy long-lasting relationship.

Relationship experts John Aiken and Mel Schilling, and clinical sexologist Alessandra Rampolla, have matched Selina up – lets hope science really can predict true love and long-lasting romance!

Last night, the North-Eastern ‘burbs gal was introduced at her hen’s party.

Tune in tonight at 7:30pm on Channel Nine to watch Selina meet her match!
