Nestled amongst the rich South Australian gum trees, wineries, cheeseries and more, the Scenic Hotel is a truly welcoming watering hole.

The longstanding Scenic Hotel was quietly renovated back in 2020 after being taken over by a notorious group of hospitality professionals including Enoch Yates from Golden Boy, and Jay Marinis from Son of Dot Drinks. The hotel has since become a must-visit when in the Adelaide Hills, serving up a truly modern take on the traditional pub feed.

The Scenic Hotel’s thought out menu features classic options such as their cheeseburger and fries, as well options that have a twist the on typical Australian cuisine with their eggplant parmigiana, roo schnitzel, and chicken and mustard pie. For those who can’t make their minds up, the Scenic Hotel offer a pub degustation for $55 per person where they will choose for you.

The hotel’s exterior is stunning against the beer garden, which has seating going down an unsealed trail decorated with wine barrels and outdoor furniture, where guests can enjoy the gorgeous sunsets that wash over. In the colder months, the crackling fire place is the perfect spot to cosy up and enjoy a glass from the Scenic’s crafty wine list.

The Scenic Hotel has also become the home for many events ranging from all-day pasta-making events, food festivals and music gigs.

A visit to the Scenic Hotel is the perfect excuse for a drive in the Adelaide Hills over the weekend. The pub is open on Wednesday from 4pm-8pm, and Thursday-Sunday from 12noon-7pm.
