Ford Performance Racing star driver Mark “Frosty” Winterbottom will be in Adelaide for a special visit to promote the Disney-Pixar CARS Truck Tour at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide which will feature a full size replica of the favourite “Lightning McQueen” character from the block buster movie, Mack the Transporter, plus a host of other attractions.
Winterbottom, who has a part in the movie, will be at the Target Centrepoint store (corner of Pulteney & Rundle Streets) on Wednesday 15 February 2012 from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.
The popular driver will be signing autographs, and be available for photographs in addition to spreading the word about the Disney-Pixar CARS Truck Tour and the South Australian launch of the “Lightning McQueen” character from the movie at this year’s Clipsal 500 Adelaide to be held from 1-4 March 2012.
This special new attraction will be located in the TrAction Zone in front of the Heritage Grandstand in the Victoria Park section of the circuit. *Children 12 and under have free entry to the event with a paying adult.
‘The CARS movie is a huge hit with kids and parents alike who will be able to catch up with Mark Winterbottom at Target Centrepoint before planning their visit to the Clipsal 500Adelaide to see the entire show’, South Australian Motor Sport Chief Executive Mark Warren said today.
On circuit, the CARS Truck Tour will provide enormous entertainment with the full size replica of ”Lightning McQueen”, ”Mack the Transporter”, “Lightening McQueen's” slot car racing tournament, “Mater's Workshop” crammed full of arts and crafts, “Doc Hudson's” driver training track, Ornament Valley photography, and Radiator Springs merchandise at Lizzie's Curio Shop.
Plenty of prizes will also be available for the top competitors in the ultimate CARS PS3 Race-O- Rama Championships.
