In a debut at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Melbourne-based comedy circus and physical theatre troupe, Absurd Circus, is all set to excite audiences at The Vault in Fools Paradise from February 20th to February 25th.

According to Rindi Harradine, co-founder of Absurd Circus, the show aims to portray the essence of being each other’s “crashmat,” combining intimate narratives with breathtaking physical feats.
“There’s absurd aerial sandwich making, hallway hula couture, demonic dance-trapeze, and juggling in the dark after getting slapped in the face with a piece of cheese. Imagine sequins and tea, high stakes acrobatics, and heartfelt authenticity,” Harradine says.

Many of the cast members have honed their skills at the esteemed National Institute of Circus Arts and have previously wowed audiences with productions like “Barbaroi,” which earned the title of Best Circus at the Adelaide Fringe in 2021. Their collective experience, coupled with a dedication to innovative choreography and storytelling, promises a performance that is both slick and beautiful.
