Located in beautiful Glen Osmond, popular breakfast and brunch café Melon & Rye are on the road to launching their new boutique bar The Rye Room set to open by mid-March.
Melon & Rye will be utilising the space next door to their café which will transform into exciting new bar. The Rye Room will include a wide range of local wine, gin, and whisky that are not just your average booze that you can find at any bottle shop.
Their exclusive drinks are paired with a delectable tapas menu – supporting local has never tasted this good. Melon & Rye’s vision and excitement for their future and the progression of ‘The Rye Room’ will no doubt translate into the quality that this boutique bar will produce.
New owner, Sally Jane-Nelson says she wants to “create something special, a reason for people to choose us over a different place offering similar style of thing”.
Between both venues, you are sure to have an experience that can last all day. Starting with a long brunch in their main café (pictured above) and moving next door to sip back on neat whisky in a cool, new bar will bring you a relaxing day without the stress of travel time.
Once up and running, The Rye Room will double as a function space and produce a catering menu for all your needs.
Don’t be alarmed foodies – Melon & Rye won’t be making any changes to their existing café. You can still expect your usual favourites, The Rye Room is going to add an extra bit of umph to your breakfast and brunch experience.
So, if you’re a lover of fine food and alcohol, and supporting South Austalian industries put visiting ‘The Rye Room’ at the top of your to do list. Their opening hours are set for Thursday – Sunday to make a perfect end of week location.
