Memphis Slim’s House of Blues opens on Gilbert Street

Jon Di Pinto, and partners Sean Howard and Matt Blyth, all of Cry Baby fame, have opened Memphis Slim’s House of Blues in Gilbert Place.

Memphis Slim’s is Chicago-inspired, a “cocktail den” with pool tables and dart boards to entertain patrons.

Bluesy, live music will be the go each and every weekend, in a nod to the name of the bar.

As far as food and beverages go, patrons can expect street food, small bites, American bottled beers, and cocktails.

The interior was designed by Stephen Duddy, with Memphis Slim’s described as Shotgun Willie’s (the Cry Baby team’s other new bar) more sophisticated sister.

Think moody, semi-grungy lighting, good vibes, and fun cocktails, an ideal spot for knock offs or a Saturday night.

Memphis Slim’s House of Blues trades Tuesday to Sunday.

Find it on Gilbert Place.
