Metallica has announced the dates for their much-anticipated Australian and New Zealand segment of their M72 World Tour in 2025. The legendary metal band will be performing in major stadiums across Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and Auckland. This tour follows on from a highly successful series of performances that began in Amsterdam in April 2023, entertaining around three million fans globally.
The concerts are scheduled to kick off on November 1st, 2025, at Perth’s Optus Stadium and will wrap up in Auckland at Eden Park on November 19th. Adelaide has November 5th locked in at Adelaide Oval. Each show is set to feature an expansive stage setup, including the renowned Snake Pit which extends from the front of the stage, aimed to enhance audience engagement.
Supporting acts for this leg of the tour include Evanescence and Suicidal Tendencies, promising fans a huge lineup of performances. Tickets for these shows will be available from November 4th, with pre-sales starting earlier for fan club members and various promotional partners.
In collaboration with Live Nation, each concert will offer a series of enhanced experiences. These include meet and greets with the band, tours of the production and stage areas, and exclusive access to the ‘Black Box’ lounge. The popular “I Disappear Ticket” will also return, allowing die-hard fans access to all six shows across the two countries, coupled with special travel packages in four cities.
Metallica’s ongoing commitment to philanthropy is worth mentioning, with part of the proceeds from ticket sales going to the All Within My Hands foundation. Since its inception in 2017, the foundation has contributed more than $15 million USD towards various causes, including disaster relief, food insecurity, and the Metallica Scholars Initiative, supporting career and technical education programs.
