Every Monday (and now every Friday!) is Mexican Monday at Tranquilo Restaurant in Stirling. Yum! We here at Glam Adelaide love burritos, nachos, and of course tequila. Did I mention that it’s ALL YOU CAN EAT!? That’s right. All you can eat.
Dive in and gorge yourselves on tacos and tostadas, plus many other Mexican specials! They’ve got Coronas for cheap and margaritas going all night. Situated along the picturesque main street of Stirling in the Adelaide Hills, this warm and inviting venue will tickle your tastebuds whilst keeping you cosy and warm in this chilly weather.
Say hi to husband and wife duo, Michelle and Steve Golding, while you’re there – they’re super smiley and so accomodating! Steve has been chef-ing it up for over 15 years, with Michelle by his side running the bar and floor. The other waiters are lovely and can whip up a delicious coffee if you find yourself in need of a caffeine hit.
They offer a range of desserts, but one in particular caught my eye when I visited recently… their Belgium sugar waffle with apple and rhubarb crumble was to die for! Fresh strawberries adorned the top of a melting mountain of chocolate, all of which was placed delicately on top of the waffle and crumble.
The venue makes a big effort to source all of their products from South Australian and Australian producers, and loves supporting local businesses. So do yourself a favour and head to the hills one evening to try out this hidden little gem!
