MFS update public on Port Lincoln bushfire

A bushfire is currently burning in Port Lincoln in the vicinity of Happy Valley Road, Valley View Road, and Shane Street.

Action
The threat of this fire has reduced however people are reminded to take care in the area. Smoke will reduce visibility in the area and there is a risk of falling trees and branches.

PREVIOUS UPDATE:

A bushfire is currently burning in Port Lincoln in the vicinity of Happy Valley Road, Valley View Road, and Shane Street.

Smoke from the fire is drifting eastward towards Shane Street and the Lincoln Highway.

Currently the warning level is at “Advice – Monitor Conditions” with residents in the area advised to monitor local conditions closely and stay informed regarding the situation. It is recommended to have a plan in place should the circumstances change.

At present, there is no immediate threat to life or property, and firefighters are actively working to manage the blaze.

Further updates will be provided by the MFS (Metropolitan Fire Service) as more information becomes available.
