International Women’s Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8th as a focal point in the women’s rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights other issues concerning women.
This year’s campaign theme is #EmbraceEquity, with a central message “equity isn’t just nice to have, it’s a must-have”. This year’s focus on gender equity is based on the need for more people to understand the difference between equity and equality, getting people to talk about “equal opportunities are no longer enough”.
Mia Margarita is putting on a grand event this March full of a long shared tapas lunch, paired perfectly with a range of Seppeltsfield wines in the company of like-minded professionals.
Get inspired by an excellent line-up of local inspirational speakers, including award-winning Megan Potter of Megan Potter Cosmetics, and local hero, “CF Mummy” Emmah Money.
This event proudly supports the charity Cystic Fibrosis South Australia through their charity raffle where all the proceeds are directed to providing connections as well as support to those affected by CF in SA.
Cystic Fibrosis South Australia was established in 1970 by a group of passionate parents of children with CF who joined together to create a support group that then flourished into what it is today.
By working together to access the best care and medications they have been able to give their children the best chance at having a happy and healthy life. Focusing on supporting each other socially and emotionally throughout their experiences was also of key importance.
