Mill Street Preparing for a Musical Block Party

You know what, this is breath of fresh air! Live music, drinks and good vibes near the markets sounds pretty much ideal!

Saturday 26th November will see Mill Street, just off the beaten track near Chinatown, pulsing with music, inspired dancing and off-the wall art. You’ll probably be able to hear it, but finding it first will be even better.

The legends from 55ml (that gorgeous small bar with all the beer) will be presenting its first Mill Street Block Party including 8 hours of live music from local and interstate bands, DJs and live street art.

The line-up includes the Shaolin Afronauts (Afrobeat), Mose + the FMLY (Melbourne 6 piece (live hip hop), Ah hum (Cuban Afro), Appomattox Run (Southern Blues), Reggaenators (Reggae) and Track Team (almost anything).

This is all about welcoming the summer, so the whole block will be closed from music, food, drinks and all the good things in this city.

The details are simple. Doors open at 3pm and the line-up begins on stage at 4pm and goes until midnight at which point Track Team will continue on inside 55ml bar into the early hours. Arrive by 5pm and you’ll get a drink on the house.

There will be food being done by the team from Bohemian BBQ, so think hot coast, South American flavours and 2 bars over-flowing with local brews.

And yeah, street art. All along the perimeters of the street. We can’t wait to get lost in the colour.

So much is happening in Adelaide it might have been easy to miss this, but we’re glad we spied it on the socials to be able to share with everyone!

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online at Eventbrite. Find out more via the Facebook event here.
