Minda’s gift-wrapping pop-up returns to spread festive cheer in Adelaide Arcade

The festive season just got a little easier thanks to Minda’s much-loved gift-wrapping pop-up returning to Adelaide Arcade in the lead up to Christmas Eve.

The festive season just got a little easier thanks to Minda’s much-loved gift-wrapping pop-up returning to Adelaide Arcade from 1 December to Christmas Eve. Shoppers can drop off their presents and have them expertly wrapped by Minda’s dedicated volunteers — complete with ribbons and bows — in exchange for a small donation ($4 per gift or three for $10).

Minda Chief Executive Dr David Panter says the initiative captures the true spirit of the season. “We encourage shoppers to stop by our pop-up, not just for expert gift-wrapping, but to say hello to our incredible volunteers. Their commitment makes a real difference in the lives of the people we support, and your small donation helps us strengthen and enable people with disability,” he says.

The service isn’t just about perfectly wrapped gifts — it’s a simple way to give back and support Minda’s ongoing programs for people living with disability. Each dollar raised goes toward creating opportunities that foster independence, connection, and wellbeing.

In addition to the wrapping station, Minda is also running a Wishing Tree at its INC Café in Brighton, inviting visitors to select a tag, purchase the listed gift, and return it for someone supported by Minda who may otherwise miss out this Christmas. It’s a thoughtful way to spread a little extra joy this festive season.

The Minda gift-wrapping pop-up runs daily at Adelaide Arcade, Rundle Mall, with extended hours closer to Christmas.

1–7 Dec: Mon–Thu 12–3pm, Fri 12–6pm, Sat–Sun 12–3pm
8–21 Dec: Mon–Thu 11–5pm, Fri 11–7pm, Sat–Sun 11–5pm
22–24 Dec: 11am–5pm (24 Dec open from 9am)

And for those looking to continue the Christmas cheer, don’t miss Minda’s Community Christmas Carols and Markets at 12 King George Ave, Brighton on Saturday 6 December, 2–7pm — a free, family-friendly event filled with live music, food stalls, rides, a petting zoo, and even a visit from Santa himself.
