From August 4th to 13th, 2023, this epic tour will bring the vibrant late-night cities and cultures of the past to life in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Adelaide, and Auckland. Brace yourself for an unforgettable journey through the sounds and people that defined an era of nightlife like no other.
For decades, dimly lit and often secretive locations across the country served as the backdrop for the cathartic ritual of dance. From the early days of Australia’s acid house scene to the various iterations of rave culture, the dancefloor became a meeting place for communities that bonded over deep 4am conversations, finding solace and elation in the collective experience. This unparalleled era of nightlife has become the stuff of folklore and legend.
Testament pays homage to the sounds and the people who shaped this club generation and the diverse late-night scenes that flourished in cities across the country. Ministry of Sound, renowned for its boundary-pushing music events, previously sold out three nights as part of Sydney’s VIVID program in 2021 and 2022. Now, they are bringing their iconic warehouse experience on a national tour to give audiences across Australia and New Zealand a taste of the magic.
The tour will feature two specially curated sessions in each city, each dedicated to a different era of electronic music culture. Session One will transport attendees back to the ’90s rave scene, featuring a lineup of global icons and local DJ talent of the era. House music queen Barbara Tucker (USA), Detroit Techno pioneers Inner City (USA), English DJ/Producer Tall Paul (UK), and Phil Hartnoll of the iconic UK acid-house-meets-trance duo Orbital will all bring their ’90s mastery to the stage.
In Session Two, audiences will be immersed in the nostalgia of the 2000s clubbing scene. Electro-punk sensation The Bloody Beetroots (IT), Kitsuné electronica darlings Digitalism (GER), and legends of breaks FreQ Nasty (NZ/UK), Stanton Warriors (UK), and Skool of Thought (UK) will take center stage, transporting attendees back to the well-worn dancefloors of the naughties.

Joining the national touring party are Australian DJs synonymous with Ministry of Sound, including Goodwill, John Course, Groove Terminator, Bang Gang Deejays, and Mark Dynamix. These homegrown favorites compiled and mixed iconic Ministry of Sound album titles that went on to sell millions of copies, including The Annual, Sessions, Clubbers Guide, and Mashed.
