In a whirlwind of love and excitement, Mix102.3’s The Ali Clarke Breakfast Show has pulled off an extraordinary feat by organising Adelaide’s quickest wedding.

The journey to this event began when breakfast show co-host Max Burford returned from an unusually lengthy honeymoon, sparking an impromptu challenge for Ali Clarke to arrange a lightning-fast wedding in Adelaide. And with their determination and support from the community, they succeeded beyond expectations.

Meet Dylan Schmidt, 26, and Charlotte Simmons, 20, a delightful Kapunda couple who found love in December 2022.

From the moment they met, sparks flew, and Dylan knew he had found someone special. On their very first date, he asked Charlotte to be his girlfriend, and their love blossomed ever since.

Their love story took an unexpected turn when they got engaged live on The Ali Clarke Breakfast Show just last Monday. And, as if that weren’t thrilling enough, the dynamic duo wasted no time in embarking on their journey to wedded bliss.

In a remarkable display of community spirit, several local businesses rallied to support Dylan and Charlotte’s swift nuptials, generously providing their products and services for the special day.

The heartfelt contributions included pre-wedding accomodation at the Lakes Resort Hotel before the special day.

The ceremony was held yesterday at Faithful Chapel, the rings were from Zamels, and the stunning dress was by the Adelaide-based label Couture+Love+Madness.

Plus, to make things even more special, an adorable alpaca from Mioshi Park took on the adorable role of ring bearer.

In a heartwarming gesture, Port Adelaide’s Xavier Duursma and the Crows’ Reilly O’Brien had the honor of walking the bride down the aisle, showcasing the camaraderie and unity among sportsmen.

After the heartwarming ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed a lovely stay at the picturesque Mt Lofty House, a perfect start to their married life together.

The wedding of Dylan and Charlotte is a testament to the power of love, community support, and the incredible ability to bring together a magical moment in the shortest time possible. The whirlwind romance and spontaneous wedding have captured the hearts of many, leaving us all with a reminder that love knows no boundaries, not even time.

As we celebrate the union of this Kapunda couple and the success of the Ali Clarke Breakfast Show’s speedy wedding, we are reminded that love and joy are always worth celebrating, no matter how quickly they come. Congratulations to the newlyweds, and may their love story continue to inspire and warm our hearts!
