This morning, Mix102.3’s $50,000 Noise has finally been guessed correctly after eight weeks,
the station’s longest noise campaign ever.

Margo Longbottom, from Parkside in Adelaide, is $50,000 richer today after correctly guessing the “Noise”, which is drumroll – tearing glad wrap.

Since April, the station has received over 300,000 phone calls, with lines crashing on multiple occasions, and hundreds of incorrect guesses, with five clues even appearing on MasterChef.

Margo has finally come on top in what has been Adelaide’s biggest cash contest and plans to use the life-changing money to go on a holiday with her mum, Kim.

“I can’t believe it…My mum has worked so hard to provide for me since my dad passed away a few years ago, so I just want to treat her to something special.”

A well-known name in the South Australian wine industry, Kim, who owns Vintage Longbottom, makes wines from the McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills regions. After her husband’s passing, daughter Margo joined the business in the next chapter of their family story.

They have plans on cracking a bottle today to celebrate.

The Mix102.3 Ali Clarke Breakfast Show was committed to giving away the $50,000 today – they were locked in the studio with workday host Michelle Murphy.
