MKR Champ Serves Up The Taste Of Australia In The Adelaide Hills!

Food by an MKR champ and wines from one of the best in the Adelaide Hills… where do we sign up?

Is there anything more amazing than an Autumn day in the Adelaide Hills? Maybe an Autumn day in the Adelaide Hills surrounded by delicious food, out of this world wine and fabulous company?! Fitting then, that this Tasting Australia 2016 event will be held at ArtWine‘s beautiful architecturally designed Cellar Door in Woodside, with food by the amazing Bree May and celebrating produce from the Hills to the Clare Valley, and wines also by ArtWine, of course. Hashtag dream team!

You may recognise the vibrant Bree May as champion of Channel Seven’s reality cooking competition “My Kitchen Rules.” Her passion for turning simple and real ingredients into delicious feasts will provide the event with a shared table luncheon using produce from the Clare Valley to the Adelaide Hills. ArtWine’s extensive range of estate grown wines from both these regions will complement the food perfectly.

Guests will also be “fed” from the Valley to the Hills in an art sense says co-owner of ArtWine, Judy Kelly, with beautiful art for sale by renowned artist and Clare Valley local, Jen Prior, whose art resides at ArtWine’s Cellar Door in the Hills.

ArtWine’s focus is on alternative, new emerging varieties alongside the classic varietals. The fruit is all estate grown, and the majority being single vineyard.

Tasting Australia runs between 1-8th May, with the Adelaide Hills event on Saturday 7th May.

Started in 1997, it is now led by Creative Directors Simon Bryant and Paul Henry, with the legendary Maggie Beer as patron. They encourage all who attend to taste, listen, learn and above all have fun as they celebrate the states regional diversity and meet its true food and wine heroes, says Paul Henry.
