“Mobile pizzeria” Cucina Cufone pops up in Rundle Mall

The pizza caterer, dubbed by its owner as a “mobile pizzeria,” has taken over the pop-up area held by Gang Gang toward the beginning of festival season.

Dinner has been made more convenient with pizza on wheels.

Cucina Cufone has rolled up to Rundle Mall and begun rolling out pizza dough.

The pizza caterer, dubbed by its owner as a “mobile pizzeria,” has taken over the pop-up area held by Gang Gang toward the beginning of festival season. It’ll be situated near the Gawler Place intersection for the next two Fridays.

The truck has San Pellegrino and authentic wood-fired pizzas that are hand-stretched with traditional Italian ingredients. They have options such as the verdura with pumpkin, sun-dried tomato, rocket and danish feta, and the classico with san marzano tomatoes, spicy Turkish sausage and mozzarella.

Owner and operator Justin Cufone, whose favourites are the mozzarella and the funghi, aims to create the best possible pizzas for his customers.

“We strive to create the ultimate food experience by bringing flavours from the Mediterranean to you,” owner and operator Justin Cufone says.

Cucina Cufone, which usually caters for weddings, birthdays, and large events, likes that they get to mix it up with their Rundle Mall pop-up for the second year in a row.

“I love the vibrant hospitality industry and meeting people, but since we’re predominantly a caterer, we don’t get to do this all the time,” Cufone says.

“It’s great to work on such a fun, historic street in Adelaide.”

The pop-up will be around for the next two Fridays.
