Didn’t think you’d ever hear the words “museum” and “party” in the same sentence? Think again.
You can join Australia’s leading future-focused museum, MOD., at a party showcasing its 2023 exhibition FLEX on Friday the 12th of May.
Expect a night jam packed with live music, South Australian gin, delicious nibbles and crazy entertainment.
Featuring music by DJ Cazeaux Oslo, gin by distillers Brighter Later, food from Braising Boy’s truck, acrobats from South Coast Circus, this is a night that will leave you wanting more explains Engagement Officer, Erika Barrett.
“FLEX Party is an event you don’t want to miss. It’s an opportunity to see the current exhibition and surround yourself with great music, entertainment, food and drink. We’ve partnered with some of Adelaide’s best performers and vendors to ensure this.”
In MOD.’s new exhibition FLEX, they test how we might inch closer, or rush towards boundaries, as we manipulate our perceptions and alter our bodies.
Will you thrive or survive in extreme environments? And where do you draw the line?
At the exhibition, visitors can explore interactive galleries with a coinciding range of activities that are out of this world!
Meet the digital versions of yourself, delve into body augmentation, learn more about resilience, explore ideas about living on Mars and challenge your perception of pain at MOD.’s latest exhibition.
Exhibition Coordinator of FLEX, Claudia von der Borch explains that the exhibition takes you on an immersive journey that makes you question your perceptions of reality.
“When you walk through FLEX, you’ll experience tension and curiosity. This exhibition builds from a juxtaposition of real and speculative futures for our bodies, to a reflective space for considering the ethical boundaries we create and embrace,” Claudia says.
FLEX party is free of entry and will be a 3-hour event from 6pm to 9pm. Registration is open for
free tickets now, and some capacity for walk-ins on the night.
