One of South Australia’s finest wine labels, Mollydooker, officially launched their new Sparkling Verdelho, ‘Girl on the Go,’ at their pop-up wine bar last week at the Published Arthouse in Adelaide.
Girl on the Go is Mollydooker Wine’s second sparkling and the twelfth addition to their impressive wine collection. Co-Owners and Creators of Mollydooker Wines, Sarah and Sparky Marquis, are the brains behind the prestigious brand and are excited to be expanding their wine offerings.
“Girl on the Go is made from `The Violinist’ Verdelho, which gives this wine sophistication and an incredible uniqueness. Girl on the Go can be described as delicate, yet crisp, thanks to its floral and tropical fruity tones. One sip is enough to entice any sparkling fan.”
“It possesses waves of citrus and pineapple nectar mixed with hints of spice and creamy vanilla to send your taste buds on quite the adventure. Girl on the Go is ideal for sharing and celebrating with family and friends,” says Sarah Marquis.
Girl on the Go was created using 2014 Vintage Verdelho grapes from their Gemtree vineyards in McLaren Vale, South Australia. The sparkling wine consists of a combination of 67% new American oak and 33% new French oak. It undergoes a strategic process where the wine is 2/3 tank fermented and matured and 1/3 barrel fermented and matured.
“The recommended retail price is $28, enabling everybody to enjoy an outstanding quality wine, without breaking the bank,” says Sarah Marquis.
Girl on the Go falls under Mollydooker’s Lefty Wine range, where all the labels tell a story of Sarah and Sparky’s life experiences and adventures.
“Full of life and always on the go, Girl on the Go was inspired by myself as a teenager. We loved the name because we believe that there is a little bit of ‘Girl on the Go’ in all of us, especially in today’s busy lifestyle.”
“We believe that everyday deserves a bit of bubble, so enjoy our sparkling ‘Girl on the Go’ and make each day a celebration,” says Sarah Marquis.
Mollydooker Wines are one of the few left handed husband and wife making teams in the world who have consistently produced wines of outstanding quality multiple years in a row. Results speak for themselves, as Mollydooker Wines are currently ranked by Winestate Magazine as No.1 in Australia and New Zealand for their 2012 Carnival of Love Shiraz. This same wine was also awarded No.2 ‘Wine in the World’ by Wine Spectator.
