As Adelaide begins to defrost, take the opportunity to kickstart your weekends early at Mollydooker! The McLaren Vale favourite is launching Fireside @ Molly’s this season, inviting visitors to move their Friday knockoffs to the vines.
Explore the Mollydooker lawns every second Friday, where there will be a rotation of delish food trucks, an impressive line-up of live musicians, and of course, the mandatory appearance of our fave outdoor wine bar, the MollyVan.
Cosy up by one of the many firepits sprinkled across the property, as the sweet acoustic tunes of some of SA’s best soundtrack your spring evenings.
First on the line-up is Lucas Day Music, taking over the Mollydooker stage on Friday 30 September. After five years of performing on a cruise ship, exploring the far corners of the Caribbean and North America, Adelaideans now have the pleasure of listening to this SA local’s soulful showcase.
You’ll also get the chance to see Lucas Day again on 11 November, where you might be able to get a taste of Lucas’ debut album ‘Swell’, slated to release on 15 October.

On 14 October guests will be able to experience the wild and wacky musings of Fergus Maximus, the self-proclaimed singer/songwriter, saxophonist, and “genial frontman and handy percussionist”. Supported by his excellent bandmates, Kym Perry (guitars) and Jamie Harrison (basses), Ferg will sing, play sax, and maybe let us loop pedal and humour run amuck.
Finally, Alice Haddy, a frequent friendly face in the Adelaide pub music scene, will perform – guitar at the ready – on 28 October. You may have heard Haddy perform at the Marion Hotel, the Alpine Winter Festival, or even the Adelaide Oval, where she sang the National anthem at the 2020 SANFL Grand Final. Now you can catch Haddy’s beautifully unique and “folky” tunes at an equally unique and beautiful venue, where the family and pets can come too.
Fireside @ Molly’s promises comforting, cosy nights for friends and family, with delicious food and great wine to boot. Entry is free, no bookings are required, and the nights start from 5pm onwards. All that’s left to do now is start the car!
