Adding to the excitement surrounding The Vamps’ Australian tour, to further sweeten the deal New York band AJR have been confirmed as special guests on the January tour!
The three brothers Adam, Ryan and Jack will take to the road alongside already announced Short Stack, visiting capital cities around Australia, just after their whirlwind promo trip in late September.
AJR’s breakthrough single ‘I’m Ready’ (out now through Liberator Music) has achieved platinum status locally (and just about to be announced double platinum) and remained in the ARIA Top 10 since its release 12 weeks ago. Not a bad effort considering the track was written and recorded in their family living room.
First picked up by our very own Sia, who received one of Ryan’s tweets linking her to their single, which she then passed onto her manager. This eventually led to being in the hands Steve Greenberg, the man behind the likes of Hanson and Jonas Brothers, who now manages AJR.
Australia has taken to their debut single with open arms, seeing the infectious pop tune on a number of television campaigns and their latest single is expected to be no different. ‘Infinity’ showcases the band’s unmatched ability to nail the catchy pop tendencies with deeper lyricism and musicality, created and carefully crafted by the guys themselves.
Their Infinity EP (out now through Liberator Music) gives fans four new singles in addition to a remix of ‘I’m Ready’ and a taste of what’s to come from their debut album due early next year.
It doesn’t get much better than this: three of the most exciting pop rock bands right now all in the one place. Tickets are not expected to stick around for long!
