Have you been looking for a new way to save while eating out? Well, the RAA has South Aussies covered! In the past year, South Australians have saved almost half a million dollars while eating out thanks to RAA’s member dining deals, which is making it easier for RAA members to treat themselves while still cutting costs.

The program is part of the broader RAA Rewards scheme, designed to encourage members to dine in at local eateries as opposed to opting for delivery services. This approach aimed to support venues by increasing foot traffic during economically tough times.

In its first year, the dining deals have saved RAA members a total of over $480,000 across nearly 30,000 participant restaurant visits, while boosting revenue for local hospitality businesses by over $2 million. These savings came from a variety of offers that included complimentary drinks, tastings, or meal upgrades.

Among the popular venues benefiting from this initiative are Fino Vino, The Currant Shed, and Maxwell Wines. Each offers unique dining upgrades, such as complimentary courses or exclusive tasting sessions.

Michael Healy, RAA’s Chief Marketing Officer says, “We’ve been thrilled with the take-up of our dining deals as part of RAA Rewards, with members saving almost half a million dollars in the past year.

“We launched the program because we know how much our RAA members love eating out with friends and family, but that discretionary spend is getting a bit more challenging.

“With so many world-class food and wine experiences right here in SA, and a lot of employment in the hospitality sector, we think it’s important to do what we can to help both our members and the venues they love.

“We now have more than 100 offers available across the state – up from 30 when we launched – and around 40% of these are at regional locations.”

The deals can be found at venues across Adelaide, ranging in price point, cuisine, and more.

Sharon Romeo, co-owner of Fino Vino and Fino Seppeltsfield shared, “We’ve all felt the impact of household budgets becoming tighter over the past few years, so anything we can do to encourage customers to come in and fill our venues is welcomed.

“The RAA offer has been a win-win for both of us – it helps us promote our venue to their massive membership base, in return for offering members a complimentary upgrade when they come in to visit us.”

At Fino Vino RAA members can enjoy a complimentary upgrade to the 5-course tasting menu when dining on the $79.00 4-course tasting menu. Valued at $15 per person.

At other venues like Maxwell and The Currant Shed these great deals are on offer. RAA members can enjoy a complimentary premium wine tasting in the Maxwell Cellar Door when dining at Maxwell Restaurant Friday to Sunday, or head on down to The Currant Shed and book lunch from Wednesday to Friday and receive a complimentary 3rd course and wine tasting at Shottesbrooke Wines, valued at $25 per person.

Amongst the other 80 venues are great restaurants like East End Cellars and 2KW, pubs like the Arkaba, and even grab-and-go places like Boost Juice.

South Australians can access the full range of dining deals through the RAA website or mobile app.
