Already one of the prettiest times of year in the Hills, springtime in the village of Stirling is about to get even more magical, when the popular Stirling Laneways community event returns to the calendar.
On Market–Day Sundays from September until April each year, Stirling Laneways sees the village known as the gateway to the Hills lined with market stalls and live street entertainment, with something on offer to suit all.
In the three years since its launch, the popular community event has become well recognised for its trademark artistic-driven bent, winning 2016’s Mainstreet SA’s coveted Market Award, and being recognised as a Finalist in the Brand SA 2015 SA Regional Awards for Festivals and Events in the Hills and Coasts.
Event organiser Bec Francis, of Bridgewater, says the team has put together another bumper calendar of entertainment and market stalls. “Programming our performance schedules and seeing what creative treasures our stallholders have in the works every month is a lot of fun,” she says. “From Fringe to SALA and beyond, there’s so much amazing artistic talent in Adelaide. We feel very honoured that Stirling gets to become a hub for some of that talent throughout each Laneways season”.
This Spring, as the weather warms, head for the Hills on a Market-Day Sunday (each fourth Sunday of the month) to soak up the fun. Enjoy Stirling’s vibrant dining and shopping scene, beautiful market stalls and a rolling schedule of all-day live entertainment from Fringe artists, musicians, magicians and more.
